During his stay in Lakshadweep, PM Modi interacted with the residents of Agatti, Bangaram, and Kavaratti, sharing moments of his early morning walks along the pristine beaches. He praised the timeless legacy of traditions and the spirit of the people in Lakshadweep, describing his visit as an enriching journey of learning and growth. The Prime Minister highlighted the government's focus on uplifting lives through enhanced development, inaugurating projects worth over Rs 1,150 crore.
These include the Kochi-Lakshadweep Islands Submarine Optical Fiber Connection (KLI - SOFC) project, the Low-Temperature Thermal Desalination (LTTD) plant at Kadmat, and the Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTC) in Agatti and Minicoy islands. Additionally, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the renovation of the Health Care facility in Kalpeni and the construction of model Anganwadi Centres in five islands.
